Today is World Water Day, an official celebration of freshwater and sustainable management. We celebrate this day by lifting up the millions of people around the world who don’t have access to clean drinking water, water for irrigation, or sufficient sanitation. We work hard to ensure that all people have the water they need to live full lives.

Below are photos showing an overview of some of LWR’s work to provide clean water to those who need it. In honor of World Water Day, please view the photos, and pray with us the prayer printed below.

A Prayer for Water

God of overflowing promise, you call for justice to run over like living streams, and made water a sign of your ultimate righteousness.

Reborn through the bath of your grace, we hear with new ears the cries of our neighbors; parched hearts and arid earth plead for reprieve.

Move us in our response to all who thirst, that we and they might receive your water, poured out for all, that none would be forsaken.

Amen.
