Nanette Enriques is a 3rd Grade teacher in Davao Oriental, a region of Mindanao Island in the Philippines. When Typhoon Bopha hit on December 4, fifty families took shelter in her school.
During the storm the roof collapsed, injuring many inside and killing several. Enriques helped the wounded and described the terrifying night of the storm to LWR staff.
